the "professional" RV Repaired solder glob didn't hold up.
Cut out approx 4" section, went to slip in the sharkbite and lo-and-behold
the
1/2" copper tubing is slightly lager than 1/2". I'm no plumber, (which is
why I
like the sharkbite products) but what am I missing? I's not 1/2", it's not
5/8",
what is it?

Jamie,
The ½" copper pipe has frozen at some point in its life & expanded
.a
bit. Very common issue. You'll need to cut the copper back to where it's the
original size which allows you to install the fittings.
