Different strokes, different folks. Some people don't manuver their
trailer by hand and others do. You don't "need" a jockey wheel, but it
makes things easier if you move the trailer around by hand. There are
times that I wish my utility trailer had a jockey wheel (I have a
harbor freight trailer dolly for that obnoxious beast).
