I was embarking on a new project today - something I saw in Trailer Life - where someone cut their 25 ft drinking water hose into 3 pieces: two 10 ft and one 5 ft length - and put new ends on all the pieces. I started my project on a water hose I've been using for several years and lo and behold, the inside of the hose was black and moldy! Yuck. So I have the 5 ft section soaking in a solution of hot water and Clorox and I tossed the remaining 20 ft in the garbage. I have a 25 ft new, unused marine hose that will be in the TAB tomorrow!
The idea behind the project was to create 3 sections of white hose to be able to use the lengths as needed because its so seldom we need all 25 feet at one time. They would just be less to drain and wipe down.
Maybe I'll finish my project another time - but I thought it was a really good idea.
