[A/S] Re: Goodyear again UPDATE

I attempted to go to a Goodyear dealer to file the claim for the Marathon
tires and damage to our airstream resulting from the two blowouts we
experienced on our recent trip. The dealer would only give me the phone
number for the claims department.and sent me on my way. I didn't expect
much but I made a claim through Goodyears property damage claims department
for the damaged tires and the trailer damage just two weeks ago. I was
contacted within 24 hours of the claim with instructions on where to take
the tires so they could be sent to their lab, and a request for an estimate
along with pictures of the damage.

I secured an estimate from Sander's RV - a GREAT Airstream dealer - and had
sent pictures of the damage. Just a few days later I was offered a full
settlement for the damage and replacement cost of the two tires. I signed
their release of claims for further claims on this incident and requested
additional funds to replace the other two tires as they were dated the same
and one had scuffing damage when the other tire next to it blew. I received
a check for the entire amount including all four tires within days of
sending the release! It only took two weeks for the entire process.

Horray for Goodyear - at least they stepped up to their problem tires. FYI,
the trailer damage was just under $2k so it wasn't a very small claim nor a
large one.
