As usual it seems that every step in the redecoration of our 2000 25' Safari has been one forward and one back. But we are making progress.
As far as the kitchen sink was concerned, it turned out the whole counter needed to be replaced making the size requirement, not a requirement. The one found on Amazon (thank you for that help) had one side that was 7 inches deep. The guy doing my plumbing said I couldn't go below 5 inches. Something about the drain plumbing. So, sorry that one wasn't going to work. But again since the whole counter was replaced it didn't really matter anymore. Found a nice stainless steel one on a RV supply site. I got the counters done and the sinks and new toilet installed. The look great.
Today the new cork floor is going down. That sounds great doesn't it? Well it required my having to take off the bathroom door. This revealed another surprise left by the previous owner. It looks like the door had some trouble and the board holding it on was there to reinforce it's position. Another thing I will have to figure out how to put back together but with a nicer finish.
The couch has been refinished for over a month now and has been sitting wrapped in plastic in my studio. I can hardly wait to get that mounted back in the trailer and take the after photo.
Our first trip with the newly decorated rig will be to Santa Cruz next month.
Photos to follow soon..... I hope!
