I haven't had a charcoal BBQ in a while & haven't done potatoes in the campfire coals in ages (usually do foil packets of campfire stew instead).  When I do potatoes on my gas grill, I wrap them in foil and run a metal shish kabob skewer through them to help the heat penetrate the inside (and get them to cook faster).  If you're doing medium potatoes, you should be able to get 2 on a skewer.

Also, does anybody had any success with making baked potatoes in charcoal?? How long, etc. Our tiny toaster oven won't make 20 potatoes in any reasonable amount of time.

Thanks!!
