Mine is a replacement upgrade, but most in RVs have a button to push that disengages the power and mine also pops out a little on one side. Hope I explained so you can understand

My radio/cd player does come on when the electric is plugged in, but is not broadcasting - just the lights on the front of it are illuminated.
