[tabtrailers] Atlanta Area Camping Suggestions

I am heading to the Magnolia Festival near Live Oak, FL, October 21 from Huntsville, and am looking for advice and suggestions for places to spend the night, both going and coming back. It's about an 8.5 hr. drive and I will be doing it alone this time, so I want to make it as stress-free as possible!

I know there are a few Atlanta area folks on here, would you recommend going through town in the early evening on a Thursday headed south or early Friday morning? I know most work traffic heads into town rather than out, so I thought evening might be better. I'd like to get through the traffic and then camp if possible, but could also stay north of town and do the traffic in the a.m. Definitely don't want to do it after dark!

Honestly, I'd love to avoid going through the city, but not sure if that is practical...

I'll be returning Sunday evening/Monday morning, so any advice there would be appreciated too. I'd prefer a pull-through site or at least somewhere I don't have to back much or unhitch at all.

thanks in advance!
