I got backed into yesterday and I'm wondering if I need to worry about damage. There's a little crack by the license plate which looks fairly easy to fix with a plastic welder, and some scuffs I'm not overly concerned about, but what concerns me is this: you know how when plastic is bent it turns white from the stress, well I've got about a 12-18" section of that below the scuffs on the underside of the trailer where it got hit and I'm wondering if that is something to be concerned about - i.e. will it crack in the winter or after more use. I go on fairly lengthy trips yearround.
I was about 4 hours away from home, since it was in the parking lot we didn't mess with the police, I just took his information, got him to sign a statement saying he did the damage and would pay for it. Also I'm not quite sure where the best place to take it is - not really a T@B dealer anywhere near and not sure my RV place would really know if its a potential problem - would I be best going to a body shop? Figured this group would probably know more than anyone locally here. Also was wondering if there was some sort of "body protection" that could just be adheared (kind of like rhinoguard) that would look good and resolve any issues caused by the plastic being comprimised.
thanks for listening
Simone
