[tabtrailers] Re: battery replacement

I put a 27 from Sams club $70, in our Clamshell. I put it in a battery box under drivers side seat where the 24 was. This involved a few minor mods to that space to get the box to fit.
I also installed a "Small" tong box and put the 24 battery box with the propane cylinder in it. I vented the tong box and reinstalled the vented battery box.
I have not yet wired up the new 24. I plan to set this up in a either or configuration. Right now I have a cutoff switch installed for the 27.I also plan to install some metering so I will know the charge of each battery.
There are photos in the New Photo section or in "adventures with Rosie". (click on blanks most come up)

Happy Camping
Gid

An Optima battery was recommended but then the auto parts store had three to choose from (and I don't remember the choices but each progressively more expensive).... I have a start now, thanks to you!! I appreciate the info!!
