[tabtrailers] Re: Camping Etiquette Stories / Pet Peeves

It's always easier to deal with pet peeves when you get to know someone. That's a good practice that's easier said than done but if you can introduce yourself and be polite right off the bat then if a problem arises later it's easier to talk it out with them. At rallies since everyone knows each other it always makes it easier to tolerate pet peeves and keeps you more aware of what you may be doing to annoy others.

BUT... I hate:

1) barking dogs and uncontroled children.

2) Loud music.

3) people/kids riding bikes through our campsite or otherwise cutting through.

4) Campgrounds with small, cramped sites.

We were at a campground last year and one clown brought his TUBA!!! How does THAT get on the camping list!?!? The Ranger made him stop playing.

We've got some idiots beside us right now that think everyone in the campground wants to hear the game on their radio, too. :-| What do ya do. I suppose I could whip a football at his radio! LOL! There's also a constantly barking (little) dog across from Tom & Ella. The people have had it tied out to their front bumper of their class A all weekend. Everytime someone walks/bikes past the dog goes off sounding the alarm and the owners are oblivious to it.

Like all of you, we could tell a ton of stories about campground rudeness and idiots. It's like camping etiqette is dead. I just don't recall this kind of idiocy when we were kids camping with our parents.
