Welcome, Kim. Hated to hear about your propane cover. I know some have made metal covers.

I believe you can use the heat pump for temps above 40 and then would need to switch to the furnance. Also be careful with the airbeds, as they take on the temp of the ground. If it's cool enough to use the heat pump, you may want to consider putting them on cots. You may want to research the topic.

We love our add-a-room, although it can be a pain to set up. The newer ones are a bit easier, or so I hear. We have to feed our poles through sleeves, and the newer version uses clips. However, if we're staying more than one night it's definitely worth it. Here is a link to our T@B pics showing our room.
