Seemong, look for the photo on the last page of the *TAB_Issues photo album for the "Surge brake grease fittings" photo. The zerk fittings allow you to apply grease to hidden moving parts, similar to using a valve stem to add air to tires. In this case, one of the fittings allows lubrication of the moving part of the surge brake assembly--the damper--which is a shock absorber to reduce the effect of the trailer when braking. Google "zerk fitting" to find out how to use them.
The moving part of the damper is under the rubber bellows that keeps dirt out.
