Hi Tony,
It's better than it was. I got on at Beaumont, TX. It was fine until
just west of Lake Charles... then after Lake Charles fine until
Lafayette.... then it was horrid until the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge,
which was fine. From there on pretty smooth sailing. Don't laugh I'm
only in Livingston though, I had to quit early to Tivo the WEG. I was
awakened early by the fool next door to me, whose Chihuahua was
barking/screeching at 7:00am not 6 feet from my bedroom. At 7:30 I
looked out and the trailer door was open and the dog was standing in the
doorway yapping. At 7:45 I had enough and went to over tell the two
women about being considerate of others.
I said, "I realize you like to get up early, but not everyone shares
your enthusiasm." She looked at me stupidly. I tried again, "Letting
your dog bark outside at 7:00am isn't very considerate." Much to my
amazement she said, "I know honey, he is so spoiled."
Huh? It escalated from there..... being a proper southern woman she just
kept smiling. Grrrrr.......
So, I left early I was so aggravated. Then there was a wreck where I-12
splits away from I-10.
Most of the bridges, and there are a lot of them, are pretty rough.
I'll report tomorrow when I'll be almost to Mobile.
