Re: [tabtrailers] Re: What's the best way to hang curtains?

I, too, have a "cheap" and effective way to have fresh air and privacy.  Actually, I have sheer curtains (in my T@B from Germany) but they don't provide privacy.  I have some  very large hooks that resemble a clothes pin but one end (of the plastic) wraps backwards and forms a hook.  I hang the hook over the wood valance and clothes-pin a towel from the hooks--over the width of the window.  It's also my way to dry my towels after a shower.  Sometimes I have to put up a towel to block strong sunshine when I'm using the computer.  A towel allows filtered light while the shades are "room darkening."

I came up with a cheap and effective means to hang my curtains. They have a hem that the rod slides through, and then the rod is attached to the bottom of the wooded valence/shelf above the windows by an inexpensive cup hook. I spent less than three dollars on the rods and cup hooks and they have been great for two seasons now.
