Top 5 Ice Skating Rinks in London this Yuletide Season

If ever you will be in London during the Christmas season, you must checkout the nice ice skating rinks that pop up around the city. You will find them near the museums, parks, and landmarks. It is time to have fun with family and friends. Unleash the kid in you and don those skates.


Somerset House

Skate in style at the ice skating rink of Somerset House open all day and closes really late at night. You can book your ticket online if you want to go on a date, may be treat your family, or catch up with some friends. The sunset gives the go for the blast of music played by the top DJs of London. The Somerset House ice rink also offers this season lunch time workouts, Nutcracker Hour, and Skate Pass. The rink will be open from November 23 through January 23.

London Eye


Starting this year, there will be an ice skating rink at the Southbank. You can get tickets for a combo of the London Eye EyeSkate and a great view of the city from the London Eye. The ice skate session lasts for around 45 minutes while the flight on the London Eye takes around 30 minutes. The ticket will also give you access to the 4D Experience offered. You can book online and add sparkle to your family's celebration of the holidays. The ice rink will be open until January 5.

Tower of London


Skate within the historic grounds of the Tower of London with the River Thames and Tower Bridge just nearby.  The ice rink will be operating through January 9, daily from 10 in the morning until 10 in the evening. Tickets start at £7.5 for kids and at £10 for adults. You can also get family passes, group and school outing discounts. They are also running a promo where you can win a £40 voucher for some food and drinks at the Pizza Express right after your skating session.

Winter Wonderland


If you are after an all around family fun, visit the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Have a blast on the ice rink, ferris wheel, Santa Express, toboggan slide, Christmas market, bars, circus, and cafes. You can get tickets for £8 for kids and around £10 for adults. You can also get combo tickets that give you an all-ride and attractions access. The park will be open until the 4th of January.

Natural History Museum

There is also an ice skating rink at the Natural History Museum. It will be worth the time to visit the museum before or after hitting the ice. The skating rink will be open through January 9 with tickets ranging from £8.50 to £13. You will not run out of things to do since there will also be a Christmas Fair nearby.
