Re: [tabtrailers] POP-UP Canopy

Another thing that some members use to help prevent it from pulling out is the addition of an opening about an inch or two from the back end of the rail. Use a wood dowel or something that won't scratch the channel to spread the channel at that point. Use that opening instead of the very end of the channel to insert the leading edge and when fully pulled into the channel, pull the trailing edge back down into the back portion and secure the line to the handle. This helps prevent the awning edge from "unzipping," which can happen with wind.

There is an example-- Skirt rail opening--though it is for the skirt rail, in the *TentAndScreenRooms_Awnings" photo album.

If your awning pulls out, try squeezing the channel together so it is tighter.  This worked for me.

Anyone find a Pop-Up canopy that will also have an enclosure available that can be implemented easily by one person? Appears a lot of them are less than sturdy in wind. The screen room is too difficult to put up alone, the awning pulls out of the channel, so I need something else. Any suggestions?
