[tabtrailers] Furnace vs Heat Pump?

Hi all,
I tried to find a similar topic with little luck.

Last weekend was our first outing where it was cold enough that we needed to turn on the heater. We have both the furnace and a heat pump option.

What is the pros/cons of each? Do you prefer one over the other? We ended up going with the furnace. Worked fine, not too loud, but had a faint gassy smell.
