I have some of these cracks too. I drilled a small hole at the end of each crack, then spread silicone over the crack. Mine is a 2004 model and the propane cover is still intact. Seems the factory tightened the bolts down a bit too tight. Others here have also put something like a rubber grommet between the bolts and plastic to help cushion the effect of the bolt.

I feel I need to laminate something to these areas. Anyone with experience in repairing these areas? What kind of glue to use, what material to use? I would prefer not replace with the aluminum box. Appreciate any help. Larry
