[tabtrailers] Re: AAA versus Good Sam

I switched last year from AAA to Good Sam because the cost of adding the RV to the AAA shot it up to almost $200 bucks whereas the same coverage with Good Sam is around $120 with the first years intro rate of something like $90 dollars.

Will AAA do that or will they want you to leave the trailer along side the road while they tow your tv? All these scenarios should be addressed while making your decision.

When this posting came up in length before, I called my Washington state AAA which we have been rv plus protected since in the early 80's and they told me it is true that some states will NOT cover your rv if disabled, nor will they cover your rv in addition if just your tow veh. is disabled.. This gave me serious thoughts being that we are going to travel eastward this summer. Most states with this clause are in the east!

Insurance poor, but the security of knowing that financial help is there makes a trip more enjoyable. Terry and Gordie
