Tastes differ. But for us, neither my wife nor I enjoy cooking (and no one enjoys eating my cooking). No one used the range for
years on end.

Therefore, some years ago we removed the range completely and replaced it with the smallest microwave we could find (600 w).
Works for us, no regrets. Oh, and it gives us more storage (not that we need it, but it's nice to have).
