[tabtrailers] Re: Filling 1lb propane bottles SAFETY

 

Ken,

Thanks for the links on handling propane!

We already have a 5 gal tank for propane appliances that can use it. My question was originally prompted by the fact that I have a catalytic heater that requires a 1Lb tank as part of it's stand and I was hoping to cut corners recycle-wise by refilling them. Now that I know that using or just having them indoors presents a greater hazard than I imagined- that idea has been completely tossed.

THIS is why this site is so great!
