We are so happy this has become an annual event. The Birthday Bash is an event open to any Airstreamer or anyone curious about becoming an Airstreamer. This is a five day event geared toward those looking for a great camping experience filled with fun and family. We sure hope you can join us.
There is a thread currently going for this event here in the forums. Feel free to ask any questions you might have, we will do our best to stay on top of them.
The location for this years Birthday Bash is Coopers Rock Campground near Slippery Rock Pa. This is a good old fashion family run campground. We have roughly 85% of the campground all to ourselves. Though we will all be boon docking here, there are showers and bathrooms for all to use. Porta Pots will be all over the place. The Coopers also have a nice General Store right at the location. Water should be easily available unless you want to be far removed from the group.
Because we have so much area at our disposal, just about any camping situation can be provided. There are full hook ups available to those wanting full service. Be forewarned, the full hook ups are up the hill and away from the main group. If you desire this, please let us know ASAP because the general campground will have very limited availability. Our hope is that you will use your rig as Wally designed it, self contained. There will be an area for day use generators and an area we are referring to as the "Ultra boon docking" area where no generators are allowed at anytime.
As with last years event, we are hoping many coming will just step up and help. There are many opportunities to throw in. There will be many dinners and potlucks in which you can contribute. We are trying a new thing this year on Friday by combining Happy Hour and Potluck supper together. We are calling it a Wine, Cheese, and Hors D'Oeuvre Mixer. The thought is bring something and share. The National Serro Scotty Club does this a lot and it works well for them. Instead of having to run off from Happy Hour to make a dinner just merge the two together.
Here is a the "Working Schedule". It is not written in stone and anything you want added can be.
