These mats are a woven Polypropylene.
Very durable.
What I like is that the dirt falls right through the weave in the mat when I roll it up.
I've never used an H20 proof mat but I'd think there may be a problem with rain collecting on it as well as mud to clean up before you can roll or fold it.
