We've given our rally a name now!
For those of you still on the fence on attending, your wait might be short lived since out of the original 31 sites, there are only 3 left, and one of those is a handicapped site which needs a permit to rent (unless it's last one available, then the park may opt to rent it to anyone). So act now, reserve your site this week, or wish you did!
So far, we have at least 17 sites reserved, including a few folks that are attending the rally who don't actually own T@Bs (yet), but want to participate in the fun. I have uploaded an updated site list to the rally files folder.
In addition to the events we have already scheduled (pot luck dinner, bingo, silent auction, group picture on the beach, meet and greet, eve social hours, scary movie nights, scary stories by the campfire, a "Light of the Moon" Paranormal Lighthouse tour of the famous St. Augustine Lighthouse, a Ghosts and Gravestones Tram and walking tour of downtown of St. Augustine, a site decorating contest, a doggy Halloween costume parade, team Croquet game, Team Corn toss…
I have been asked, by the lady dog owners to add (un-officially and I assure you by popular demand) a new previously un-scheduled event. Apparently, they want to have a doggy clothes swap (I know, I know) but if you are (even secretly) one of the group who has a closet full of old dog clothes, that no longer fit the pup, and want to swap outfits with the group, bring the doggy clothes along, we'll add it to the schedule by popular consensus after the rally starts. This ought to create quite a conversation in the user group….anyway
Please make sure your name (and the names of those attending with you) is correct in the database since that is my source for the rally name tags. If you haven't signed up for the Rally Tours (haunted Lighthouse tour by the night of the moon, and the Ghosts and Gravestones tour) please e-mail me (CJPOWELL123@yahoo.com) so I can update the list and leverage our negations with the tour guides for the best price. They have already committed to a discount if we meet their minimums.
We will be offering T-Shirts that can be pre-purchased, and picked up on the first day of the rally soon. We are currently working on a great design and a vendor that can create them for us. Once we work out a price we will create a sign-up sheet for the shirts.
We have been able to get a movie style popcorn maker for movie night(s) HOW COOL IS THAT! So we will be able to offer our scary movie-goers movie style popcorn too.
