No. I thought of that scenario when I installed the 17 snaps three years ago. Using sealer and proper torque on each one.
On close inspection. The water entered from the top. Not up from under the trim piece or the snap hole. If any thing. The snaps are sealed better than most of the oem seals on the unit. Al. Taxitab
