Re: [A/S] > 1b. Re: sway survey

What was the year and length? I guess I should repack my bearings. I was
already thinking about putting new shocks on and maybe taking it to Dallas later
and check the alignment.
Mine never got bad I just never liked the move it made sucking up close to a
passing truck. If a trucker got too close passing it could have been a bad
scene. I did the same as you watched for them and gave them all the room they
needed by riding the white line.

My trailer has been setting since Ike blew through. I started her work over two
weeks ago. I should finish the mechanical things today with the exception of
replacing the refrig. I am thinking about putting 250 watts of solar panels on
the roof and add two more batteries and just put in a apartment refrigerator
that is almost a perfect fit. I have rebuilt the skylights rebuilt pressure
regulator replaces a few plumbing lines and striped the clear coat. I have a
couple of places in the floor that need to be replaced.

Both tanks empty, nothing on board other than the original fixtures.
In all fairness it was a "pig in a poke" trailer, grossly neglected.
This Sovereign was an Ebay score that I snagged to use for off season hippie
housing at the K'ville Folk Fest.
It was sitting butt down in the grass in a field south of Dallas, and full of
twenty yard bags worth of detrius from many years of living on the road.

I pulled the hubs, cleaned it up, repacked the bearings, put my spare set of
tires on it, got the electrics working, and hit the road. The first thing I
discovered was that the brakes were sub par.
When the first beeeg truck went flying by me I thought the trip was gonna be
over right there. Fortunately it was an uphill grade. I finally saved it by
putting the trailer brake controller on full, counter steering and accelerating
at the apogee of the swing.
The rest of the trip was spent watching the mirrors. When I saw a truck coming I
would pull over onto the shoulder.
Old trucks,
Old trailers,
