Jerry, I suspect you are not looking for them is why you don't see
them... I have a Pace American box utility trailer rated for 12,000 GVW
and it has a dealer installed Reece Dual Cam WD system that is heavier duty
and larger than the Reece Heavy Duty Dual Cam WD hitch for my 28 ft.
Airstream Ambassador even though they look similar. Both are the Dual Cam
design and as far as I know, both are rated heavy duty and use the trunion
type square spring bars. The dual Cam setup for the spring bars on the
utility trailer is the biggest difference I see between them, it is massive
in design and construction, much heavier duty than the setup on the
Airstream...
Because of the difference in size between the two Reese WD Hitches systems,
I have separate stingers and spring bars for each trailer. They are not
interchangeable even though they look the same. The WD hitch on the 12,000
GVW trailer has a larger ball and the heads on the spring bars as well as
the bars themselves are a heavier construction and are not interchangeable
with the WD stinger head for the Airstream which is probably a good
thing. I can put the 600 Lb spring bars in the bigger head but they are a
sloppy fit, probably not a good idea to use them with that head... However
the heavier spring bars will not fit the Reece head used with the Airstream
in any way, shape or form...
