The Tundra should be just fine as long as you don't go too big, my own rule
of thumb
being not to exceed 75% of the manufacturers tow rating. My Nissan Titan is
very
similar to your Toyota and tows my 6800lb 1989 Excella 29 just fine, but I
would also
say that I would not tow an Airstream larger or heavier with it. I
previously towed with
a '91 Dodge Cummins 250 3/4 ton which was considerably heavier than the '76
Caravanner 25 I towed at that time. Getting a proper hitch and truck setup
with the roughly equal weight Titan and Excella was much more important
compared to the big Dodge which towed the Caravanner just fine without a
weight distributing hitch. I would recommend you add Timbren springs front
and rear on your truck, their ads look like something out of a 50's hot rod
mag but the product works and improved my handling when towing a great deal
with no effect when not towing.
