That sounds like an interesting opportunity... As to towing weight rating,
if it has duals on rear axle, yes, 12-14,000 might be realistic. If it has
single rears, no, somewhere about 10,000 lbs or less for tow rating...
Note that I speak from experience having owned and towed with Ford trucks
for many years including F350 Ford diesels, I do not have the
specifications for that truck as a 1987 year F350 model.
