Larry, it won't look like the original. Geo Headley (Yimyungyang) posted a photo showing the difference between the two in the last page of the *TAB_Issues photo album. Check it to see if we are talking about the same issue. If the entire length on one side is replaced, it won't be noticeable. The newer stuff has a metal insert in it which helps keep it from coming off, but you should still use a dab of adhesive at intervals in the crevice when pushing it back on for extra insurance. There is a photo of what I did on the first page of the same album to my loose original rubber trim about six years ago, and have not had a problem since. Be sure to avoid getting any smeared on the T@B itself, because it can mildew and is unsightly.

Following the link to JC Whitney for black rubber trim.  The picture doesn't look like what came off my T@B
SKU Number:1JA812914
Manufacturer Number: 1612-27

Can anyone assure me that the numbers I am seeing are correct for what I want?

Thanks for all the input. The rubber trim arrived yesterday and I installed it today with Shoe Goo. It does seem to grip better than the original. JC Whitney saves the day again!

I notice the size is a little different than the original that's on the T@B but I'm hoping it's minimal. Thanks for any input.
