Nancy, I agree with you on this subject. While we can have accidents with almost anything, there are things that are inherently less safe than others. Stepping down onto a light-weight box (vertical sides) with no base stability can cause the thing to roll over very easily. I found this out shortly after we first bought our T@B back in 2005. Having the old style plastic Rubbermaid step stool, we used that. Stepping out from the T@B after getting it home, my weight was not centered and I felt it start tipping. If I had been in a hurry, I would have fallen with my back on the base of the door opening, Fortunately, my weight had not transferred fully to the step , so there was no fall. That having been said, there are some good stable step stools available that are much less expensive than the Camping World model.

I agree wholeheartedly with everyone that the Camping World supersturdy step is the safest. And I have to admit, after reading all of this, that I've never tried stepping DOWN onto the new step. It may well go back to Lowe's when I try that. Safety in entering/exiting is definitely cheaper than the cheapest trip to the ER/doc-in-the-box.
