[A/S] A/C Filter

We have a 1982 31-ft. International rear bath. We've been unable to change the a/c filter because the flexible door between the kitchen and the bedroom won't allow access to the bottom of the a/c shroud. So I've been unable to remove the filters. Does anyone know of a way to get the bottom off the a/c shroud without having to take off the rail that holds the flexible door in place? I've tried to take out the filters without removing the rail, without success.
