No converter problems, but turn the fridge way down or off during the night to save battery power.  I have camped for 3 days and nights using lights sparingly and turning the fridge down without draining the battery completely.  I do plan to get a 2nd battery for longer boondocking as I usually camp without hook ups.

Don't have the 12v fridge (early clamshell with cooler), but when my battery was circling the drain (allowed to go too low, too frequently) it wouldn't keep a charge for long and I kept blowing the 20-amp fuses. We replaced the battery last summer and haven't had an issue since.

hi team
i have the WFCO 8725 that seems to have died...anyone else have issues?
the 12v fridge drains my batteries really dfast- anyone experience this?
