It does not happen when I put a low volume trickle charger on it. Battery is not fully charged, it was at what ever charge comes from NAPA after sitting on the shelf, probably low.
I mis-typed and it should have said 'when the plug is disconnected'; I always pull the ground when I work around a battery for exactly that reason.
Relay from truck is add on. I know it is fused, not sure if isolated. Cold here today so I will dig out my multi-meter tomorrow. Tonight it is sitting unplugged from truck. Truck plug showed all connections proper a week ago when checked with meter. All other points on plug work correctly, lights, turn sigs, brakes.
