Re: [tabtrailers] Greetings From The Caravan

Hi Sharon,

We're in Wytheville, VA again overnight.  Our 'alert' weather radio already went off and it's not even 700pm.  We had the severe rain but are safetly hunkered in our T@B and have cable and whatever else we need!  You know John, we've had a wonderful dinner of chicken sausage and peppers and onions on w/w buns!  (that boy sure likes to cook!)  We passed through an area on I-81 near the VA border north, that had been ravaged by the previous tornados......such destruction and complete devestation in some instances right next to nothing being touched.  There were several exits closed along this stretch as many workers were trying to restore the area back.  It will take awhile... We realize that we left this same area early am on the day this destruction happened later that day.  We feel blessed that we were not touched but hope for the return to normal life for everyone that has been touched by this horrific traveling storm.  Safe travels to everyone!

Hi Everyone...

We are hunkered down in Cumberland Gap's Wilderness Road Campground in a pouring rain. We all got in safely after lunch and got set up just in time to miss getting drenched!

A few brave souls have gone back out...some to the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum in Harrogate, some back to the visitor center at NHP, some into the little town of Cumberland Gap, TN and some are snoozing in their T@Bs and T@DAs.

Even though there is a dulcimer festival here in the campground and we've been invited for coffee, cookies, and music this evening, I think it will a great night to stay in, watch a movie and/or read.

We left Arlene, Cathie and Jay back in Townsend this morning, while John and Sandi started making their way home to Cape Cod and Ron & Mb headed home too. So we are down to 7 in our little caravan.

Luckily I have a good signal here in the boonies and I should be posting on my blog this evening as usual. Thanks for tagging along.
