You know, since there's been some odd reports that sometimes a 2400 WILL run the cool cat, even when the compressor cycles on,.....maybe find a place you can tow your t@b to, ask them to allow you to hook up a 2400 and test it out. Had we known, we could have done this...the RV place had a 2400 on display and wouldn't have minded hooking it up to our t@b.. Do this and then crank the cool cat way down and see what happens. Since it's been reported that some do OK with the 2400, you'll your answer real quick.

We would have much preferred the smaller footprint & dB of the 2400 ...but it wasn't a sure thing so we had to go to the more "industrial" looking 2800. Interestingly, our 2800 was like 10 lbs lighter than than the 2400, although it's footprint is larger. Luckily it still fits in the t@b door, so we can carry it inside...another important criteria for us.

Both the Yamaha and Honda generators are highly rated. Some hear have had good luck with the less expensive Kipor brand and some other brand (that skips my mind right now). We wanted rock solid reliability and decided to go with the Yamaha.
