Push the knob down and hold it. You should hear gas flowing if it's in an "on" position. To light - put the flame next to the burner while holding the knob down. Let it light and wait a few seconds before letting up. There's a safety on the stove that prevents gas from flowing if it's not lit & holding down the knob is the by-pass.

The women I purchased my T@b (2 days ago) told me she never used the stove (2004 model). I can't seem to get it lit! Opened tank....it appears full.....put flame by burner with knob in light position......no flame!
