Re: [tabtrailers] Volvo or Suburu?

You will like the extra power in the hills. I pull thru alot of BIG hills and mtn ranges here in AK so my next tow vehicle will be a V8. My V6 struggles sometimes.

While I appreciate the information in the database about tow vehicles, I gleaned most of the information I needed about towing from the internet. I think I understand that engine size relates to power and power relates to gas use (very simplified) and that I should aim for something like 15 mpg and be happy about it. I feel like it comes down to this (for me): will I be able to maintain average uphill speed in the twists and turns on PCH? And, after all my towing, will I still be confident that my TV is operating without undue stress to it's parts? And so my search came down to a Volvo CX-90 or a Suburu Forrester--two slightly different classes, as I understand it. I'm bucking for the Volvo--I've always driven Volvo's and the engine is more powerful and this has got to mean something, right? Love to have some feedback here. Thanks.
