Some of your "RV Resort" types have no-tent rules. The people that frequent these places generally aren't camping, but are travelling by RV. There's a difference. I'm not the "RV Resort" type, but this one is on the grounds of Cedar Point. http://www.cedarpoint.com. Your view is of the park and Lake Erie. I'd rather stay there and let the kids run back and forth while I enjoy the campground. but it looks like we should choose to stay at a nearby campground.
Unless you plan to stay at a lot of private CGs/resorts, you're not likely to run into this problem. If so, run on down the road to the next place :)

I could see if the sites were small and they didnt allow the room to be set up at all but to allow setup yet not allow sleeping seems odd. If they are trying to limit how many folks at each site then they wouldn't allow sleeping in vehicles either so I'm perplexed as this is our plan with our 2 girls ages 8 and 15.

I noticed their CG rules say no tents, so I emailed about using the add-a-room and was told I cannot use it for sleeping. They allow stand-alones for eating purposes. One other T@bber has used her room there without incident, but after arriving if I am told I can't use it then I'm up creek without a paddle as four of us obviously cannot sleep in the T@B. I suppose we won't go. You might consider that a "few" places will not want you to use the room.
