I made a solar screen ceiling fan cover up in 1985 where I also velcroed the two together across our vent in our teardrop all those years ago. I still use that same solar screen on each of our trailers as we use them (when we use some of them lol) this way the sun won't come in so brightly as this piece I have is very dark grey and it will let fresh air enter into the trailer.I have now made another one for my bathroom vent in our Lance 1685. This trailer also has a sun window and so I have had to make a little larger one in addition to the ceiling vent. I found that a piece of foil blocked the vents but it also blocked the air flow and I wanted air flow even on a hot day.Solar screen can be purchased at Lowe's. Terry
