[tabtrailers] Re: Coolers - Yeti Coolers And A Portable Ice Maker

Well, I went for it and bought 2 Yeti's today at Bass Pro Shop. A 62 quart and a 25 quart. They're stupid expensive (!) but I'm hoping the ice will last a longer time than with the Coleman Xtreme's we have and ultimately save me money in the long run. I had two gift cards worth $75 so that saved me a little bit. I drink iced tea literally by the gallons (as those here who know me, know) and I brew it fresh camping and if I'm making margarita's for the group, too, then I can easily go through a few of those 22 lb bags of ice. Between the iced tea maker, my cups of iced tea and the margarita machine I'm crazy on ice usage! I also bought the Magic Chef portable ice maker on sale for $150 at Kohl's and that thing has been cranking out ice pretty fast. So far I'm really pleased with that thing. Got some commercial 22 lb ice bags, too and now I'm good to go. HA! The smaller cooler should hold a big bag of ice nicely and make it through a typical weekend of iced tea making without much ice melting and the bigger cooler will house our regular food stuffs. The Xtremes will still come into play for holding the food when it's a margarita weekend using more ice in the big Yeti. With the previous coolers I was running out of ice due to it melting too fast.
