Today I did the bed-slat modification. Not being a naturally born handyman, it took more than one day, including shopping for material. Yet, when I look back on it, performing the vast improvement was a piece of cake. Thanks, of course, to the excellent help from the files of this forum. What a marvelous resource!
Our U-Shape seems almost twice as large inside now, and thanks to the Sharon's excellent example, our table is now of the wooden TV type, easily stowable and quite adequate we believe.
It's a nice feeling to put a check-mark next to "Bed Slats" on my To-Do list.
