[A/S] Stretch Cord for hanging curtains? Name?

Anyone know the name of stretch white cord used to hang curtains in 70's Argosy/Airstreams?The ends are cut an inch less than space between small screws over windows. The white covering is cut off and ends bent into a hook that fits over a small screw (not all the way in).

I looked on Airstream sites, fabric sites, hardware,online fabric stores. Obsolete maybe? Or, I just don't know the correct name? Cord is much smaller than bungee cord.
