[tabtrailers] attaching to walls

I"m about to embark on some modifications on my 2009 T@B. Does any one know if I screw into the wall on the door side? I'm assuming that the wall is some kind of luan and then foam and then the aluminum outside. I was thinking of using1/2 inch screws. Anyone else that has tried this I'd love to hear from you before I do it.
