If your tow vehicle only had the 4-pin connector, be sure to add a larger ground lead to the new connector as well, since the ones for the four-pin connectors are not adequate for the additional current drawn by the trailer. Also, be sure to have an isolation relay added, so it is not connected when the tow vehicle is not running.
