[tabtrailers] Re: Which Brand of Portable A/C

LOL, maybe we should put that on our trailer..... let's see, from my folks house the closest Walmart is an hour. They're about 10 miles outside a "town" that has a bank, barely a grocery store, a hardware store, John Deer, a couple of gas stations, 1 Barber Shop, realty office and a post office which doesnt deliver mail, you have to go get it. Now when bike week is happening at Sturgis you cant move through the area hardly from all the bikes and then other temporary businesses pop up including a Harley shop. Darndest thing I ever saw. A town goes from 900 residents to several thousand then back to a ghost town. Now if you need a Lowe's, Target, "mall", Cabelas or an airport and I use the term loosely you have to drive 80+ miles to Rapid City, SD. They pretty much have whatever you need there including fast food! My folk's town doesnt even have a McDonalds! If you're in town and hungry you can hit the gas station for a hotdog, corndog, chicken strips and I think maybe pizza slices, lol. A different world out there for sure. It's nice to slow down while out there yet at the same time can be frustrating when things close with no warning b/c the fair is in town or somebody had a baby. Wasted 3 trips into town last year trying to pick up vegetable seeds at the Hardware store and the post office closes at 3:45 so gotta pick up your mail on the way to wherever or they may be closed when you come back through. Shoot, UPS and FEDEX dont even service that part of the state, crazy! Folks drive 6 hrs to Denver to do Christmas shopping. I cant wrap my head around that, lol.
