Daisy,

The salt air is not good.

Of course my trailer is not clear coated but one week on the beach on
Padre Island left more pits in the skin than the previous 45 years.
Good clear coat will help of course, but you will still have problems
as everything that has the ability to rust will rust including old
rust. Aluminum is really sensitive to salt corrosion too, even worse
than steel.

I would suspect if you are back a little further from the water it would
help and a flushing down with fresh water morning and evening would
probably help also.

The guy in the fiberglass box is probably better off than any of us

We really liked camping on the beach but it sure was not good for the
trailer
