[A/S] Removing front sofa

Hello,

I'm looking at several Airstreams of a certain age:-) and for my purposes the front sofa needs to come out and be replaced by a wide credenza/shelf system. I have seen a few where there were electronics (maybe the inverter?) of some kind under the front sofa, and one had a battery bank for the existing solar panels, which could probably be incorporated in cabinetry without too much fuss. I'm only looking online so far, so I may not understand what I"m seeing in the (usually awful) pictures people post of their trailers.

Does anyone have any suggestions, workarounds, and maybe even pictures of similar conversions?
