Hi Folks,
I'm looking around for volunteer work for this winter, hoping it will be
somewhere WARM!!!
I have an offer at Padre Island National Seashore for part of the
winter, and the Volunteer Coordinator keeps pointing out that the sea
air is hard on equipment.
I'm sort of guessing she is trying to scare off the people with the 40'
brand new motor homes who have to wash and wax them weekly and who will
be horrified by what salt does. Since I'm from where it snows all
winter, I know what road salt can do to a car, but need some thoughts on
what it will do to my AS.
It's a '73 and the clear coat is in very good condition, only getting
white in some places. My under carriage is pretty well painted or
covered except for the axles and wheels and etc. The old girl has
plenty of dings and scrapes from rowdy desert driving and a lamp post in
NJ, none of which bother me particularly. Not concourse ready and not
really about to be.
So what should I expect to worry about? For one winter?
Thanks,
Daisy
